WordPress hosting migration in Boise

Moving to a faster host, leaving an agency that holds your site hostage, or rescuing a broken install — I move your WordPress site with zero downtime and nothing left behind.

// Why it matters

A move done right is invisible to your customers.

Most “free” host migrations copy the files and call it done. Then the contact form stops sending, the SSL certificate lapses, email breaks, and Google starts seeing 404s on pages that used to rank.

I handle the whole move: a full copy of your files, database and media; DNS, SSL and email coordinated so nothing drops; redirects and sitemaps preserved so your rankings come with you; and a speed and security check on the new host before I hand it back.

Whether you’re moving to WP Engine, leaving a slow shared server, or getting your site out of an agency’s account, you’ll know exactly what’s happening and when — and your visitors won’t notice a thing.

What every migration covers

Full site copy

Files, database, media, plugins, themes and settings — verified against the original.

DNS, SSL & email cutover

Coordinated so the site, certificate and mail all switch over without a gap.

Redirects & SEO preserved

URLs, sitemap, Search Console and analytics carried across so rankings don’t slip.

Speed & security check

Caching, updates and hardening on the new host before you get the keys back.

Migration questions, answered

Will my site go down during the move?+
No. I copy the site to the new host first, test it there, and only switch DNS once everything checks out. Visitors keep hitting the old server until the new one is live, so there is no gap.
Will my email break?+
Not if it is handled. Email is the most common casualty of a careless migration because MX records get dropped when DNS changes. I document your mail setup before the move and carry every record across.
Will I lose rankings?+
Your URLs, redirects, sitemap and Search Console stay intact, so Google sees the same site on a faster server. In most cases speed improves and rankings hold or tick up.
Which hosts do you work with?+
Any of them. I most often move sites to WP Engine because that is where my maintenance clients live and it is what I know best, but I can migrate to or from SiteGround, Kinsta, Bluehost, GoDaddy, Cloudways and others.
How long does it take?+
Most migrations are done within 48 hours of getting access. Large sites with big media libraries or custom setups can take a few days. You get a timeline before we start.
What do you need from me?+
Logins for your current host and domain registrar, and for the new host if you already have one. If you do not, I will recommend one and set it up. That is it.
