Copper Canary Fine Jewelry
Helping a Meridian’s best jewelry store get found for the searches that bring people into the showroom.
A standout Jewelry Store near Boise that local search couldn't see well.
All of that reputation lived inside the store. When someone in Boise or Meridian searched for a jewelry designer, a ring resize, an antique engagement ring or a repair, Copper Canary didn’t show up as much as they wanted. The site looked the part but wasn’t built to rank, the Google Business Profile wasn’t meeting it’s potential, and that’s where I stepped in.
Meridian's most distinctive jewelry store.
Copper Canary Fine Jewelry is an locally owned jewelry store in Meridian, Idaho, just minutes from Boise, specializing in antique and vintage pieces, modern fine jewelry, and fully custom jewelry design. Named INSTORE Magazine’s “America’s Coolest Jewelry Store” in 2024, it’s a place people drive across the Treasure Valley to visit.
Search engine marketing and Google Business Profile, working together.
Local visibility comes from two places: the website Google ranks in organic results and AI answers, and the Business Profile Google shows in the map pack. I worked on both so they reinforce each other.
Search engine marketing
Getting the site to rank for the searches Treasure Valley shoppers actually type.
- City-specific landing pages — starting with custom jewelry design in Boise — plus pages for, engagement rings, wedding bands, repair and resizing across Meridian, Boise and Eagle
- Local blog content answering real questions — where to buy an engagement ring near Eagle, gold prices in Meridian, what to do with inherited jewelry
- Title tags, headings and FAQ-style sections written so Google's AI Overviews can quote Copper Canary directly
- Internal linking that pushes authority from the blog and story pages to the service pages that need to rank
- Technical cleanup in Search Console — redirects, indexing and consolidating pages that competed for the same search
Google Business Profile marketing
Turning the map listing into a storefront that ranks and converts.
- Primary and secondary categories, service list and attributes dialed in for jewelry design, repair and antique jewelry
- Website link, hours and NAP details corrected so the profile and the site send Google one consistent signal
- Photo and product updates that show the showroom, the custom process and the vintage inventory
- A steady review cadence so new five-star reviews keep landing month after month
- Monthly tracking of map-pack position, calls, direction requests and website clicks from the profile
What the engagement included.
Copper Canary runs on Squarespace, so this was a job of working smart inside the platform — tightening structure, content and local signals rather than rebuilding from scratch.
