// The challenge

A growing church with a website that didn't reflect it.

Eagle Naz had far more going on than its old site could show. Newcomers couldn’t quickly tell what a Sunday looked like or where to start, ministries and events were hard to find! Sermons were also difficult to find. The site needed to look as modern and alive as the congregation itself, work on a phone in a parking lot, and stay fast without a developer babysitting it.

// Who they are

Love God. Love People.

Eagle Nazarene Church, also known as Eagle Naz to the people who call it home, is a congregation in Eagle, Idaho with a simple mission: love God, love people. Sunday services, Life Groups, kids and youth ministries, men’s and women’s gatherings, a community garden and a full calendar of events all run out of one campus.

It’s a warm, active church that welcomes newcomers every week, and the website needed to feel the same way: clear about what to expect, easy for first-time visitors, and generous with the teaching the congregation loves.

// How I helped

Designed around the visitor, built around the sermon.

Two jobs drove every decision: help a first-time visitor understand who Eagle Naz is in under a minute, and make the weekly message effortless to find, listen to and share.

Modern design that illustrates the congregation

A clean, contemporary look that lets the church’s own people and story lead.

  • Bold hero video, photo-led homepage with the mission front and center — "Love God. Love People."
  • A dedicated "I'm New" path covering what to expect, service times, kids check-in and how to connect
  • Consistent card-based layouts for ministries, groups and events so every page feels like the same church
  • Fully responsive, mobile-first build — most visitors arrive from a phone
  • Simple top-level navigation: New here, Sundays, Messages, Ministries, Events, Give

Sermons made easy to find and listen to

A proper sermon library instead of a list of links.

  • Every message published with audio, video and notes on its own page
  • Browse by series, speaker, scripture or topic — 100+ messages and growing
  • One-tap listening on the site and YouTube for people on the go
  • The latest message was just a click away on the homepage
  • Staff can publish a new sermon in minutes with no developer involved
// What I did

What the project included.

A ground-up redesign on WordPress and Elementor, engineered so it stays fast and simple for the church team to run.

Complete redesign

Visitor-first navigation

Information architecture rebuilt around real questions: What time? Where do my kids go? What do you believe?

Sermon library

Structured messages with series, speakers, scripture and topics, plus audio, video and podcast delivery.

Ministry, group & event pages

Templates for kids, youth, men, women, Life Groups and seasonal events that staff can update themselves.

Eagle Naz now has a website that matches the energy of a Sunday morning: modern, welcoming and obvious to navigate. First-time visitors get answers in seconds, over a hundred sermons are a tap away with audio and video options, and the whole thing loads fast on mobile. Best of all, the church team publishes messages, events and ministry updates on their own — no developer required.
